Engineer Rubén Rojkés talks with us regarding Avanco and the growth opportunities arising in the Argentinian construction sector for 2019. Civil Engineer Ruben Rojkes has been a real estate developer for over 25 years, “building the dreams of the individuals”.
1. What was your motivation when making Avanco?
AVANCO is an acronym that comes from advancing by building. I’m a civil engineer and construction may be a passion for me. I decided to move forward in life, building, making, that’s what I’m passionate about. Once I ask myself, Ruben, what is what causes you to fill the foremost fulfilled regarding your work, I’m not passionate about buying and selling only, I want to build, manufacture, develop a product, that’s what I love.
2. What was your first successful project?
It had been the first building I designed which I launched virtually 28 years ago; it had been a terribly little building, in the road San Luis 77. It consisted of only 11 units with one or 2 bedrooms, with a lobby and 2 higher floors, without elevator. I sold it quickly. It had been my first work, and thank God, all the works I have done have been successful and fully sold.
3. How do you manage the balance between family life and your work?

4. What recommendation would you give to future entrepreneurs?
I would tell them to be passionate and put a ton of dedication to what they do. That they obtain recommendation from people with more experience. I consulted a heap of veterans once I wasn’t clear or I had doubts about a project. Work with a team of folks who are passionate about what they do. It is an activity that you just will’t do while not a good team.
5. What are the foremost innovative projects that are developed in the region?
I believe that at the Housing and Countries level, our company is the one that is innovating the foremost within the Region, with the kind of amenities of our projects, and also the expertise of the architects that we have a tendency to have, we tend to are working with a modern design and we tend to are in continuous evolution.
