Another bonus to Sheffield is the cheap student accommodation prices, making it one of the most affordable places to go to university in the UK. There is ample student accommodation to choose from, but the two most favourable areas are Broom Hill and Crookes. This is because they are both located close to the universities and have lots of shops and local bars to visit. The undisputed favourite though is Ecclesall Road or ‘Eccey road’ to the locals. It is known as Sheffield’s golden mile and has a rich coffee culture and seems to be a never ending road of bars and restaurants.
